Research Report on Human Efficacy Verification Study for Atopic Dermatitis

Human efficacy verification test for atopic dermatitis using LPS material blended cosmetics!

This document is a research report investigating the effects of a moisturizing cream containing glycosphingolipids (LPS) on atopic dermatitis symptoms, which were observed symmetrically on both sides of the body in four individuals who were not using any medications such as steroids. For four weeks, one side was treated with the moisturizing cream containing LPS, while the other side received a placebo cream, applied twice daily, with the cooperation of a dermatologist. The study was conducted in a double-blind manner, and the changes in the EASI score were monitored. The results of the study indicated that glycosphingolipids (LPS), when combined with a high-quality moisturizing base, could be expected to improve allergic skin irritation. This study found that, in terms of macrophage activation power, glycolipids (LPS) have a higher superiority compared to peptidoglycan and β-glucan, and are effective in trace amounts.
